Read on..

It’s during those lonely times that you get to know yourself, to know your heart and analyze yourself really well, we spend a huge amount of time pointing out the speck in people’s eyes but we never see the log in ours. Alone time works good at making you see your log...or two like I did. Sometimes you shouldn’t be afraid of being alone, that’s when you also get to know God really well. I faced loneliness when I gave my life to Christ and I had nothing else to do but to read the bible and worship. I knew a lot about who God is, what He says about me and His promises to me in a period I wouldn’t have if I had experienced distractions. I had my bible all marked up and knew a great deal of verses. Sometimes it would get so lonely but now it proves that I was building a firm foundation in my Christian life.
Right now being in the institution I’m in I’m bombarded by all kinds of things, all kinds of people, all kinds of talk and all of that…people making decisions depending on the moment, living the fast life, chasing meaningless things and sometimes I almost or get caught up in this kind of life but what knocks me back to my senses is the wisdom and knowledge I gained during my lonely days with only Jesus.
It’s not always an easy thing to stand out, I do it all the time and it takes one to have strong faith in oneself and believe in a Supreme Being. I see people giving up their principles just to go with the flow. I watch people changing themselves just to fit in. it’s always a confusing life for those that don’t  believe because the World itself isn’t even sure about what it wants. Today it’s this pill that’s good for you tomorrow it had side effects and you are prescribed different pills which have a short future too. Today it’s this that will get you funds tomorrow it’s a fraud they move to something else. It’s insane sometimes seeing how reckless people live, changing their minds chasing the best that the world offers… but the world has no best; it’s always changing its mind.
Life in Christ has taught me a lot of things… Fear and worry are enemies, my future is secure, His Love is unconditional, Faith does work, power of prayer, forgiveness is key, grace abounds, relationships are important, bonds can be broken and a lot more. It’s a life I would not want to trade for anything.
“Colossians 3:1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
This verse always reminds me to set my priorities right. Money, wealth, education may be important but are temporary. I have an eternal goal I’m aiming at too. It’s permanent and most promising. You want it? Know Christ. I would hate to take you there and forget to tell you that you need a ticket to get in.
Love, God Girl.
